Sending manga to Kindle with Send to Kindle

Updated 2026-11-02

Send to Kindle puts a book in your Amazon library so it syncs to every Kindle and the Kindle app. It's great for manga, with a few catches.

Use EPUB

Amazon no longer accepts MOBI or AZW3 uploads. Send an EPUB; Amazon converts it into a Kindle book. CBZ and CBR are rejected. PDFs are accepted but are shown as PDFs, without Kindle's comic features.

Mind the size limits

  • 200 MB per file through the Send to Kindle website and apps.
  • 50 MB per email when you send through your @kindle.com address.

Pick EPUB on Manga to Kindle and anything bigger than 200 MB is split into numbered parts automatically, each with its own chapter list.

Steps

  1. Convert your chapters to EPUB for your Kindle model.
  2. Download the book (or each part).
  3. Upload at amazon.com/sendtokindle or drag it into the Send to Kindle app, and it appears on your Kindle in a minute or two.

Or skip Amazon entirely

If your Kindle shows up as a USB drive, pick PDF and press Connect Kindle. No upload to Amazon and no size limits.

Try it on your own chapters

Free, no card, nothing to install. Converts and copies to your Kindle from Chrome, Edge or Opera.
